MSC Métodos de Solución de Conflictos
is a biannual online publication dedicated to disseminate research results on negotiation, mediation, conciliation, arbitration, restorative justice, therapeutic justice, welfare and other interrelated areas and disciplines, related to the methods of conflict resolution (MSC), from the perspective of the intangible value of peace, with the aim of contributing to strengthening a culture in the management and transformation of conflict and the citizenship of justice promoting the quality of life of people and their harmonious interrelationship.
It is intended to contribute to the dissemination of basic and applied knowledge in a transdisciplinary and multidimensional environment that allows us to address the study and generation of new science from various scientific areas of the MSC that contribute to strengthen existing theoretical perspectives, models and practical developments and to generate new proposals through the application of knowledge, research and social innovation.
MSC Métodos de Solución de Conflictos
is aimed at researchers, teachers, the international academic-scientific community and members of the CSM community interested in the scientific, instrumental, holistic and normative approach to the science of conflict resolution methods that converge in the management and transformation of conflict, in the various concentric relationships and their multidimensional impact on the transition from conflictive to harmonious relationships.
It will provide a clear and evolutionary vision of the practice of CSM, bringing the disruptive scientific knowledge of CSM to practice, in a natural process of exponential thinking to its daily application, observing human needs to achieve a harmonious process of social interaction in reason of the perceived subjective well-being of individuals.
MSC Métodos de Solución de Conflictos will become a fundamental tool for the practice of CSM and CSM scientific research. Its vision is to become one of the most important open access scientific journals in Latin America, to enter the most important scientific indexes and thus facilitate access to an online platform for the dissemination of high impact research that contributes to the understanding of conflict management through the various methods of conflict resolution in its theoretical and practical practice.
HISTORY OF THE JOURNAL
The journal MSC Métodos de Solución de Conflictos arises in the framework of the first 10 years of the founding of the Doctorate in Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods, a program that at the turn of this decade has established itself as a program that generates new science in the field of Conflict Resolution Methods, in a program of recognized quality by the PNPC CONACyT in its consolidated level.
The journal arises from the need to disseminate the knowledge and new science generated in this doctoral program, as well as the knowledge influenced within the framework of a school of thought of the same name, where a whole international community converges that over 10 years has instituted international strategic alliances in America and Europe. It should be noted that the current influence of the doctoral program is significant, providing mixed scientific research and a scientific production of reference in the world of MSC and its contribution to the daily practice of MSC.
In this framework, the journal MSC Methods of Conflict Resolution will be a reference and a link of the various strategic alliances of the doctoral program, it arises with the purpose of materializing the essence of the science of the MSC making real the transition from conflictive to harmonious relations, in its scientific and practical scope, providing substantive elements to both constructs, in a logic of circular flow of the transformation from practical to scientific knowledge and from scientific to practical.
JOURNAL FOCUS AND SCOPE
MSC Métodos de Solución de Conflictos is an electronic journal of scientific dissemination with open access, semiannual and refereed publication, aimed at the dissemination of the various methods of conflict resolution that will contribute to the establishment of a social system of conflict management and transformation, social welfare and perceived subjective well-being, in the broadest understanding of a dignified life and respect for the underlying interests of individuals in their various areas of influence and concentric relationships.
It is based on the quality of scientific production, based on systematicity and rigor, uses in its peer review process the double blind review methodology, publishes original articles resulting from multidimensional mixed research projects and bibliographic reviews under the guidelines of the publication standards of the American Psychological Association (APA) in its most recent edition.

Open access policy
This journal provides immediate open access to all its contents, based on the principle that providing the public with free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge. Therefore, the journal does not charge article processing fees (No APC) or publication fees for its articles.
Peer review process
All papers are first submitted to an editorial review, which consists of verifying that the work corresponds to the subject matter of the journal and that it complies with all the established guidelines.
Only when the editorial opinion is accredited, the process of academic opinion begins.
Subsequently, the articles will be submitted to a double-blind peer review process by two members of the journal's referee portfolio, which is composed of prestigious academics from national and international institutions.
The papers will always be submitted for review by referees external to the authors' institution of affiliation.
The resolutions of the review process are: approved for publication without changes, approved for publication when minor corrections have been made, conditioned to mandatory changes subject to resubmission, and rejected.
In the case of discrepant results, a third opinion will be forwarded to a third and final opinion.
The results of the opinions are final.
The reviewers are solely responsible for reviewing the changes made in the case of results subject to resubmission.
The limit of resubmissions for a paper is three, after which the article is rejected for exceeding this limit.
The author has thirty calendar days to make corrections. The duration of the review process is determined by the number of articles on the waiting list; it will take an average of 16 weeks between the date of receipt and possible publication.
The editorial coordination of the journal will inform the authors of the progress of their work in the review and editing process.

MSC MÉTODOS DE SOLUCIÓN DE CONFLICTOS is committed to the scientific community to guarantee the ethics and quality of the published articles. Our journal takes as a reference the Code of conduct and good practices defined by the Publications Ethics Committee (COPE) for editors of scientific journals (http://publicationethics.org). At the same time, it guarantees an adequate response to the needs of readers and authors, ensuring the quality of what is published, protecting, and respecting the content of the articles, as well as their integrity.
Responsibilities or behavior of:
The Editor
- Take care of the impartiality both in the reception of the articles and in the failure of the evaluation.
- Act always in accordance with the editorial criteria and the editorial line.
- Act always with honesty when evaluating the documents sent to the journal for publication, when analyzing their contents objectively and according to scientific and / or academic merits, without discrimination of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic origin, nationality, political opinion of the authors.
- The academic review of articles is governed by the blind peer system, so the journal undertakes to take care of the anonymity of authors and reviewers.
- MSC Métodos de Solución de Conflictos adheres to the open access philosophy; therefore, its content is not for commercial purposes, which is always guaranteed by the editorial team.
- The editorial team can clarify doubts to authors and reviewers in the review and editing process.
- The directors of the journal guarantee that they will make the results of the opinion process known exclusively to the authors, through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
- Plagiarism behaviors are not admitted by Eirene Peace and Conflict Studies, in this sense, all articles are analyzed with specialized plagiarism detection software. Any case detected will imply the rejection of the article, which will be notified to the authors of the article and will not be given the possibility of submitting another manuscript in the journal.
- In the cases that are required, the magazine will publish the corresponding and necessary clarifications and corrections
The authors
- Authors must guarantee that the articles are the product of their original document as researchers and that the data presented has been obtained in an ethical manner, so they must guarantee that they do not infringe copyright.
- The article may not be totally or partially submitted to another publication.
- Authors may not submit redundant publications, meaning that two or more documents share the same data, hypotheses, discussion points or conclusions.
- Those documents in co-authorship must have a justification that expresses the full consensus of adherence to the guidelines of all the authors involved.
- Authors must guarantee strict adherence and acceptance to the editorial criteria established by MSC Métodos de Solución de Conflictos .
- It is the obligation of the authors to respect the authorship of all the sources that have been used in the elaboration of their article; therefore, you must provide accurate data from bibliographic, newspaper, electronic, and other data collection techniques. You also agree not to omit any significant material.
- Address the observations of the editorial and academic opinions in a timely and clear manner.
- Incurring any breach of the above points constitutes unethical and unacceptable conduct; consequently, the proposed article will be eliminated and not considered for publication; likewise, the author may not be considered for any activity related to the magazine.
Reviewers
- They must commit to maintaining the confidentiality of the information related to the articles they evaluate.
- They cannot make any kind of dissemination or distribution of the information presented in the article they are evaluating until the moment it is published by the journal.
- They undertake to carry out the opinion in an objective, impartial, responsible, and rigorous manner.
- Demonstrate willingness to clarify doubts and all matters related to compliance in each of the stages that comprise the opinion process.
- When incurring in any fault to the previous points, the magazine reserves the right to provide proof of its membership in the portfolio of arbitrators.
Academic inbreeding
In accordance with international standards, MSC Métodos de Solución de Conflictos tries to avoid academic inbreeding in the articles it publishes. Consequently, it will only publish a maximum of 40% of articles whose author or co-author is someone whose main institutional affiliation is the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, taking into consideration the total number of articles to be published in all sections of the journal.
Priority for publication of articles will be established according to the date on which they are approved.
