Abstract

The regulation of the professional conduct of lawyers as mediators in the United States is subject to different normative sources: a) rules of strict customary law or common law; b) strict legal rules of a written nature or statutes; c) norms of equity or equity law; and d) standards of professional conduct. The present research focuses on analyzing only the standards of professional conduct based on the implications in the process of obtaining and maintaining the professional license in light of the substantial comparison between the characteristics of the American and Mexican educational models with the differentiating approach. academic degree and professional license.

Ha sido miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI), Nivel I; profesor invitado de la academia de la Organización Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual (OMPI) con sede en Ginebra, Suiza; y Consultor del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), con sede en Washington, D.C.
