Abstract

Organizational conflict is an inherent phenomenon of human interaction in the workplace; however, its impact can range from dysfunctional effects to opportunities for learning and relational strengthening. In this context, emotional intelligence emerges as a key competency for understanding, regulating, and channeling the emotions involved in conflict situations. The present study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence on the resolution of organizational conflicts, particularly its capacity to transform dysfunctional dynamics into processes oriented toward workplace well-being. Based on a qualitative and theoretical review approach, this study examines the foundations of emotional intelligence, the nature of organizational conflict, and the relationship between these constructs. It also identifies emotionally intelligent strategies and organizational practices that promote constructive conflict management. The findings suggest that the development of emotional competencies in leaders and

employees contributes to improved communication, reduced escalation of tensions, and the promotion of more collaborative and healthy work environments. It is concluded that emotional intelligence not only facilitates conflict resolution but also constitutes a strategic organizational capability for the well-being and sustainability of workplace relationships.
